How to get roaches under control in house with basement?

I live in a house with basement which is not complete. (there is lot of junk in it). I live in OK. and during last snow storm, the basement was flooded due to power outage. I am having horrible problem with roaches in kitchen, we keep our kitchen pretty clean. We have tried ortho, boric acid, some sprays and other stuff. But there is no effect, in fact, there are more roaches, its aweful. Can you suggest some ideas, how can I control it?

I would suggest using combat it comes in A tube it is best to put it down in stripes where they are mostly located it will take A few days before you see any changes but it works,the 99cent store has A powder that also is good keeping roaches under control at min.cost.
