  1. Febreze plug ins are wonderful! I always keep them on hand. They are way better that febreze spray. As far as the furniture goes~ try sprinkling scented vacuum powder on the couches and using the hose of the vacuum to get it up.

  2. lava rocks work very well you can buy them at the home depot in the cleaning section for 6.00 a bag follow the directions on the bag 1 bag does 600 feet..when they no longer catch the smells place them in the sun to reguvinate i swear by them because i have many animals in doors.........9 cats 5 dogs and 3 birds

  3. Wash as many fabric items as possible. Then wash the walls wipe vinegar water and allow to air dry.A fan will move the smell out.Your mattress can be sprayed and air dried also.Vinegar will take it out.Just allow to dry and the smell is gone..

  4. well this might help so i will share it. different kind of smoke though. my grandparents used to smoke in our bathroom, and it would seep into the walls and make the walls a yellowish color. but after i took a long hot shower one day, i noticed that there were bubbles on the ceiling and walls from the moisture. so what i did was after each shower i would wipe the walls with a towel and now there is not one spec of yellow and not even a smell. also i have these drawers i put my clothes in that really stink. so what i did was i put these oil candles in there for a while. the oil must have seeped into the wood and overpowered it or something because it doesn't stink any more. hope this will help or at least give you some ideas. =)

  5. Clean every surface including walls & ceilings and clean every bit of fabric, even if it means hiring steam cleaners & taking drapes to the dry cleaner. Until you clean, you’re just temporarily masking odors so that they can return.
