  1. For shine you can use a serum!, you can also get a perm and aside the perm in hair saloons nowadays there is a treatment that helps your hair be less dry and more shiny i've never done it before cause i dont need it but i have heard from friends that is really really good it makes your hair smooth and shinny it might be pricy but i think is worth it go to a hair saloon and ask them!

  2. Use baby shampoo.

  3. well i have the same problem. what i did was after i take a shower i blow dry it and then i straighten it.

i use a straightener called infra shine. it makes my hair really soft and shiny.

u can buy it at any salon and it is around $119.00. it is worth it.

but it is your choice and after u are done straightening use a product called biosilk. it makes ur hair very silky.

    hope i helped.

  4. My experience has been that when you are styling your hair, knowing how and when to use product and heat is very beneficial.

Firstly, make sure you are using shampoo and conditioner that is right for YOUR hair.  It doesn't matter what your friends use or what top stylists use: everyone's hair is different.  If it's dry, use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.  If it's thick, don't use a product that claims to add volume to thin hair.

Secondly, are you styling your hair correctly?  If you don't blow-dry your hair well, it's not going to look good at all when you flat-iron it.  Don't leave any kinks or damp spots in the hair.

Lastly, treat your hair with respect.  Fighting it will only cause damage and frustration.  Instead, work with what you have.  You don't have to stop straightening it, but do some research on your type of hair (if you are ethnic, beauty web sites dedicated to your ethnicity are a good place to start) and see what works for other people with similar hair.

If all else fails, I recommend you consult with a stylist.  Their job is to make your hair look beautiful, so they'll definitely be able to help you.

    Good luck!!!

  5. Try using a spray or serum before you use your flat iron. This will prevent the heat from damaging your hair so much, and will give it a nice shine.

    Something like this

Veggiemonster...I always wondered why hairdressers did that!
