How to get songs from a cd onto my ipod?

okayy i put a cd into my computer and pluged in my ipod and its showing all the songs on the cd but the thing that says Sync ipod isnt bold (u cant click on it) if anyone knows how to do taht please help!?!?!?!?!

first you need to rip the cd to mp3.  do so by using itunes>rip or windows media player>rip.  then put them into your itunes folder and sync

The songs need to first be in your iTunes library before you can put them on your iPod. With iTunes open, insert the CD into your computer's disc drive. The track listing should display in iTunes. In the bottom right-hand corner of the screen should be a button that says Import. Click that button and iTunes will start adding the tracks to your music library. Once finished, take the CD out, and connect your iPod. Go to File | Sync iPod (if it doesn't start syncing automatically) and the songs will be added to your iPod.
