  1. If they are orange, try Heavy Duty "Zud" it's in a can like Comet, only works on rusty stains.

Otherwise try mixing up some oxyclean and soaking it.  Other than that, it might be etched into the tub material and never get totally clean.  In that case, just disinfect with Scrubbing Bubbles or Lysol.

  2. Our water has a high iron concentrate and I find that I have to use a product especially for iron to remove the stains.  I use WHINK brand rust stain remover.  It comes in a brown bottle and is sold where CLR and Limeaway, etc are in the cleaning products aisle in the grocery store.  This product warns that it is only for use on white porcelain though, so if your tub is fiberglass you should not use it.

  3. My Mom use to use Oven Cleaner and it worked.

  4. try a mr clean magic eraser, they are amazing!!!! it got my cabinets, bathtub, fridge door handle, light switch plate and many other things clean that i haven't been able to get clean.

  5. most stains in a used home's bathtub are caused by the protective finished having been removed by abrasive cleansers.  the stains have been allowed to leach into the porous materials and are permanent.

  6. Well have you tried something like Soft Scrub?  That usually takes off a lot of the stain.  Otherwise, a great bathtub website for all of your questions is http://www.bathtubworld.com.

  7. CLR, Lime Away, ZUD, Bartenders friend, etc.  You can also use Mr. GClean Magic Erasers

  8. line away

  9. Use Bar Keepers Friend.  You can find it by Comet and the other scrubs in the cleaning isle.  Just shake it on, scrub with water, let it set for about 15 minutes and then scrub some more.  You have to really scrub, but it does work.

  10. Tub N Tile, works awesome, good luck

  11. Step by Step:

Step1 Determine what type of stain it is that you are trying to remove from your bathtub. Is it a red or brown stain that might be rust? Is it a blue, green, or white stain? You may be dealing with limescale. Different stains require different removal methods.

Step2 Start out simple. Clean your bathtub with a soap scum removing bathroom cleaner. Soap scum can trap dirt and oils and can be hard to remove. Even if soap scum is not your stain problem, it will make cleaning your stain easier if the tub is free of residue.

Step3 Try removing your stain with a magic eraser type sponge. These sponges remove all sorts of stains without the use of any kind of cleaner. Lightly dampen the eraser sponge and rub gently at the stain. If it looks like some of the stain is coming off, keep at it.

Step4 Remove stains using baking soda. Just sprinkle the baking soda on the stain and scrub at it using a sponge. A little elbow grease may get out your stain.

Step5 Remove rust stains from your bathtub by using salt and lemon. Sprinkle a size-able amount of salt over your rust stain and then saturate it with fresh lemon juice. Let the mixture sit for several hours or overnight.

Step6 Use a pumice stone if all else fails. A pumice stone is a piece of gray lava rock material that you scrub directly onto the stain. The rock will not scratch your bathtub and removes most stains. Do not use a pumice stone on chrome.
