  2. I would start by pet sitting just in your neighborhood. When I was younger, a friend and I printed out business cards with our phone numbers and what we were int rested in doing, in our case, we were looking to take care of anything. We ended up taking care of dogs, horses, cats, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and emus. But I'd say you would want to put that you're only interested in rodents. However, I don't think you'll get much business from just rodents. I'd suggest that you should look into expanding you pet sitting service to dogs and cats, and reptiles if you're comfortable around them. Lots of people end up taking their pets to shelters and paying tons of money and would rather that reliable people came and watched them instead. It's also easier on the animals too, since they're still at home. You would also want to include your names, ages, and phone numbers in the ad and any previous experience you've had pet sitting or with animals of your own. Price can be a tough one. I'd say if you're only looking after a rodent that requires minimal care, about $5 would be more than enough. If you're looking after a cat, then about $10. And dogs $15, though if you have to spend the night at the house with the dogs, as I often have to, then $25 a day. Do not charge by the hour, that's just ridiculous. No one is going to need you to watch their rodents while they're gone shopping. Most rodents can even be left alone for a few days anyways.
