Yep - Goo-Gone, Goof-Off, and Greased Lightening are 3 products that will get the job done. Once the tape and residue is removed, and you have used one of the above chemicals, it's not a bad idea to put a little liquid car polish on the area and polish it to remove oxidation etc.

Goo Gone is great, but if you can't get it, you can use rubbing alcohol and it should remove the residue without damaging your siding.

Goo Gone is a good product, but i have used Greased Lightning. it gets oil and sticky stuff off everything from grills to clothes and i think it is less expensive.

try using some wd-40 and a rag to scrub the residue

WD-40.  Works about as well as Goo Gone
