Tip1:Find the target. If there is none (wild carding), then be polite and a bit more extroverted. Work on your etiquette.

Tip2: Don't lose yourself.

Tip3:Dress more fem but to your styling (add a hair clip and a fancy headband and maybe some earrings and if you're leaping, an interesting necklace.)

Always be yourself. Don't over do it by changing your clothes or makeup to portray someone you aren't. There are probably some quiet and shy boys checking you out and are too scared to approach you. If a particular guy you like is into a particular sport or after school activity, hang around those places with some friends to see if he notices you.

You have to be outgoing and not keep to yourself, I'm a sophmore in high school and have never had one before, this year I'm also going to be outgoing and not keep to myself like talk to more people

I'd first befriend a guy.

Find a guy that you're completely comfortable with.

If you guys hang out enough, romantic feelings will start to manifest.

A relationship is best this way:

Acquaint yourself with the guy.

Be really good friends with the guy (at this stage you might realize he isn't your type! and it's the time to find out).

Then, you can think about intimacy (bf/gf status).

That's the mature way to do it anyway.

that's all they should ask for and if they don't take you the way you are then honestly Hun their not worth your time.

just try to read a boy out before anything because there's good guys and bad guys and the good ones are sometimes put in the same category as the bad ones just because of what the bad ones do.

but if your yourself then everything should be ok...
