  1. no my dear you can transfer it you have a main paper or rasid of your gas connection you go with it from where you purches it they told you what you have to do ok fine

  2. Dear Richi,

    Please do as follows.

    1. Take the original gas connection documents, such as deposit receipt, pass book etc., also remove the regulator from the cylinder ( take care ).

    2. Take all to the existing Agency, along with a letter, asking them to transfer your gas connection to the new address. You need to mention the name and address of the dealer in the new shifted location.

    3. The agent will check your documents and also the regulator. He will note down the serial number of the regulator in his register.

    4. He will then give you a transfer letter, addressed to the new agency, asking them to start supplying the gas in future to you from them. He will also mention that the deposits have been collected from you. He will put a seal in your original document.

    5. Take all these documents and letter ( with regulator ) to the new agency. They again register your name, regulator number and other details in their register. Then you will be given a new consumer number. The regulator will be returned to you.

This is the process and it will take about half an hour ( except traveling time ). Make sure you keep a full cylinder at your disposal before go for the transfer. You have to take any documentary proof showing the address for your new house. It may be a rent / lease document from the owner.

The procedure is same for any intercity or even intracity transfers.

    Good luck.
