How to get the guts to quit my job!??!!?

I know...dumb question lol, but i just got this incredible job in April and was sure then, that i would never leave it...i just got married last week, and my husband and i talked and he decided he wants to go to school..in a different town about 2 hours away from where we live now...i want to give them atleast a month notice..we wont leave til mid october...if anyone can help me feel better about this and how to tell them it would be great :) i know i sound like a wimp!

Tell them you enjoyed working there, but you're looking for better things now or talk about how they can improve their work place with positive or helpful remarks it will feel good and you won't make anyone hurt. I'm sure the employers will understand and respect your decision

You do not quit your job, you resign from it with a letter of intent.

When they fire you they do not give notice.Some company management let people go that week that they try to be nice and give a two week notice,let alone a months notice.Think of the financial responsibility and hardships that you might endure if you have to leave early from your job.I am not saying that your current imployer is bad though.If you apply for work at the other location so you can start a week after you leave your current job that would be a economically sound decision.Best of luck to you and your husband.
