How to get the web page to come up when i type the website's name in the search bar?

i don't want a list of wesites, when i type the www. web address i want the exact website to open.

Open inet options in the control panel and enter advanced. Scroll down to search and select just go to most likely site.

If you know the exact web address, you don't use the search bar.  You use the address bar which is at the top of your browser window.  It may or may not be labeled address but it will have the address of the web page you are currently on.  Simply left click once on the address to darken or highlight it.  Then without deleting anything, start to type the address of the website you want to go to.  Then, hit enter on the key board and you should be right there.  An alternative method, which I use often is to type the main part of the address without the www and the .com or .org in the search bar of Google's home page;  then click on the "I'm feeling lucky" button and that should also take you right into the website.  It's a wonderful feature of Google which few people take advantage of.
