  1. if its a hard surface use goof off or goo gone u can get it at walmart for cheap.

  2. You didn't say  if  this was clothing  or  something  with  a hard surface...  Throwing  it  in  the washer (warm wash  cold rinse)   will usually take care  of  it  on clothes.  On  hard surfaces,Finger nail polish remover works great.. be careful  though  using too much  will also  take  off paint.. You  can  also  rub  it with a dry cloth too.  Just keep rubbing  it,  as  the glue or sticky stuff warms  up, it will start coming  up  and can be rubbed  away.

    good  luck

  3. I always use a small amount of Crisco oil poured onto a paper towel and rub the sticky area until it comes off. Then, I use an alcohol pad or a cotton ball soaked with rubbing alcohol to remove the rest of the sticky, if there is any left, or just plain soap and warm water will work, too. This has always worked for me on glass, plastic, vinyl, cardboard, leather and wood. As far as cloth items, you can try it, then use Shout stain remover, or Shout by itself to work the sticky off. Rub the area with detergent and cold water first until there is no sign of the oil or sticky area, then in warm water if you choose. Good luck.
