How to get through high school and make friends?

Heyy i started high school today and im a little worried about making friends and not being a dork

Smile at people, its the best for making people like you, and possibly come over and introduce themselves.

If someone smiles back, walk over and introduce yourself.

There are lots of nice people in High School.

be nice to people, dress nice/cool, have confidence, smile a lot (not too much or you'll come off as creepy), have a sense of humor.. make jokes. You'll make tons of friends this way.

If you feel like a dork and assume you are one, people will see you that way. Look confident and you'll be likeable to others.

Join clubs. Figure yourself out. You're only 14, you have no concrete idea who it is you're being true to- so don't be afraid to try things. High school is so much fun, the best times of your life, if you just let it.

you think HS is such a bigdeal but when you graduate you'll find out there is so much else to worry about.....but dont listen to me im still in HS

Just be yourself, and DO NOT feel like you have to do something just b/c everyone else is. I've made that mistake in small ways, and I wish I hadn't. Another good tip to making friends - ask them questions! People love to talk about themselves, and they'll love you for giving them the opprotunity. Be confident in yourself, stand up for your beliefs while being open to new ideas, and just have fun!

Hey-

your a freshy how cute haha. well im a sophmore and all you have to do your first year is stay true to yourself and dont let things get to you. also dont let drama get to you and just stay clear.  Be nice and concerteate try to be outgoing and not weird haha.  dont wear clothers you look rediculas to school and just be cool.  try to make frends with upper classmen a lot, it will benifit in tons of ways.  If you want to make a ton of friends join different activitys/sports.  I know in track you make a ton of friends.  Just be yourself.  Stay true
