How to get to Silverstone circuit from Northampton train station? what buses, etc?

I'll be travelling tomorrow to see the Renault world series http://www.worldseriesbyrenault.com/silverstone/uk

there are buses dedicated to that route but they only work during the grand prix weekend :-(

   Walk about 13 mins to Far Cotton, Towcester Road.

   Take Stagecoach in Northants Bus X88  

   towards Oxford City Centre, George Street

   and get off at Silverstone, Brackley Road  (SW-Bound)

You could be looking at an Oxford bound bus from Northampton. It'll go down the A43 right past the circuit but I'm sure there will be a stop en-route if you ask the driver. The circuit isn't far off the main road.
