  1. I don't think buses make the trip.

    You can take a train from Verona to Rome with one change in Bologna. It takes about 4 1/2 hours and is around $100.00.

No there is no bus service between Verona and Rome.  For that long of a distance Italians take the train, drive or fly.  Actually you can get a direct train one way for 44 euro 2nd class, 65 first class and arrive in 4.5 hours.  Otherwise you can stop in Bologna or Padova.  Stopping in Padova 79.50 (1st class, 2nd class 55.50) Bologna 68.93 1st class 2nd class 47.73.  all prices are listed in Euro and are taken off of the train service provider's website directly and are only an estimate.  Variations depend on time of year and day.
