could anyone pls let me know, the way from Munich ( Garmany) to Berchtesgaden (Garmany). I would like to go by train, which train station I should get on in Munich, and how long does it take? Me and my family are staying in Berchtesgaden for 2 nights, and one night in Munich, would that be cheaper to get some kind of train pass or not, if so, where can I get the pass from in advsnce.

Many thanks!

  1. Is it still known as Berchtesgarden?

Anyway just head upwards from Munich, Adolf's gaff has been blown up, but you should find something

  2. It's about two hours and a half by train from Munich Central station to Berchtesgaden. Normal fare costs 32 Euro, but you may be able to get some special deal if there are several of you travelling. PLan to spend some time waiting in line at the ticket booth, though, they are notoriously understaffed.

  3. Take the A8 towards the mountains, or you could just mapquest.de it, ok?
