  1. Getting to UW from SeaTac Airport, I-5, or I-90

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) is located approximately 20 miles south of the University of Washington. To get from SeaTac to the UW campus and nearby hotels you can take a taxi, a shuttle, a bus, or you can drive.

    Taxi

    Approximate cost:$45

All taxi companies in Seattle charge the same rate, which is set by King County and based on a drop charge plus mileage. To catch a cab from the airport, go to the Ground Transportation Center located on the third floor of the airport parking garage (SeaTac map). http://www.portseattle.org/about/maps/gr...

    Shuttle Express

Discounted Rates: $21.50 to UW dorms and $19.50 to University District Hotels (these discounted rates require advance reservations).

This door-to-door van service is more affordable than a taxicab, but you will share a van with several other passengers whose destination is the same or very close to yours. Click on one of the links below to make a reservation. When you arrive at SeaTac, first collect your luggage and then follow the signs directing you to the Ground Transportation Center located on the 3rd floor of the parking garage (SeaTac map)http://www.portseattle.org/about/maps/gr... . Stop at the Shuttle Express counter to activate your reservation and then look for the departure display by the curb where vans are loading. You will find your name and assigned van number on the monitor.
