  1. Sometimes the horse is sold not to run anymore and to make sure this happens they will not sign over the papers.  You could check with the person who originally bought her to see if this is the case.  The price of the horse is also less when this happens because you don't get the papers.

  2. contact the  American Jockey Club.  Any horse (TB) will be in their database

  3. find out who trained her and contact the racing office at aqueduct or belmont depending on where their racing they'll give you the trainers phone number call him and ask for the papers. and uf he lost the papers you have to go through the jockeys club of america in kentucky to get a new set.

  4. What do you mean that the person/trainer "has her papers".  If you purchased her, you should have her Thoroughbred registration transferred to your name.  If you mean she as the breeding pedigree that is easier to get.  Contact the NYRA to start.  Good luck.

  5. Contact the NYRA, the NYTOBA, and the Jockey Club. They will arrange a transfer of ownership to you. Hope that helps. If the trainer has the papers, he/she should turn them over to you upon request- since you are the horse's legal owner now.
