here are a few pointers :

1 : sit up straight or even lean back a little bit

2: make sure your sitting into the trot before you ask for canter

3: ask for canter on a corner

4: make sure the horse is bending ( head is slightly turned ) to the inside .

5. exagerate your leg aids

6: correct the horse as quickly as possible

7: dont let the horse "run" into the canter

8: make sure your trot is good before you ask for canter.
