How to git videos on my computer from my camcorder?

I have a Sony Hdr SR5. I can get pictures off of it but i cant get videos off it. plz help

  1. Read the Operating Guide and Handbook:

    If you are shooting in high definition video you will need to buy video editing software that can understand the MT2S (AVCHD) file type. MovieMaker cannot deal with AVCHD. If you want to just watch the AVCHD video, you will need to find a viewer (unless you like the included "PictureMotion browser") that was on the CD in the camcorder's box
