How to give a girl a promise ring?

Well, I have been dating this girl for almost 7 months now, and we are both sure we want to marry each other when it is possible.

How would I go about giving her it? Take her to some really nice place and get down on one knee n do all that? Because it's basically an early engagement ring, it's more than just a promise ring... so yeah.

I live in NH, so a nice place around here that she'd like would be the Surry Mountain Lake Dam. I was thinking of taking her there at night under the stars, kneeling down and asking her to one day marry me, basically like I said the "early engagement". I was thinking of that, and giving her a single red rose on the way to this whole thing...

My boyfriend just gave me the ring box- it was by 17th birthday present- and explained that it was a 'past, present, future' ring. Don't get down on 1 knee.. that is suppose to be an engagement thing don't ruin that moment youll want to have later on.

Hey man thats cool, you have some romantic tendencies about you. I would just say when you actually ask to marry her take her back to the same place and ask her to marry you.
