How to go about getting a tattoo?

i cant draw but i have an idea i want.

get with an artist ..hes going to tell you to print up some pic some what like you want ..he can change it around for you but remember tattoos can get expensive ...

always look at a tattoo artists portfolio. if you don't like their work. DON"T GET IT. sometimes when you are in the shop you feel a bit pressured to use a certain artists.

tattoo artists are talented people. you give them the idea of what you want. they draw it up. and you yeah or neh it.

You should go to a tattoo artist, preferably someone with lots of experience! You could also go to someone you know with good drawing skills ... Maybe a friend, or can you think of any good art teachers you may have had in school?

Go around to different shops in your area, look at different artists' books.  When you find an artist who's really good at the style you're imagining, then talk to him/her about scheduling an appointment to discuss and sketch out your idea.
