How to go about getting into a collage in the USA?

I live in the UK and would like to continue my studies in America to study aeronautics as i want to become a professional airline piolet. I have already looked into collages however im unsure about how i should get started. In other wods. Who should i talk to to enquire about temporary and possibly perminant immigration to the US based on Studying there.

As much info as possible would be great. thanks

Our government makes this much harder than it should be. Forget about coming her permanently, even getting a student visa will be trouble enough.

It should be easier to get into Canada, and I doubt the quality of instruction is lower there.
