  1. Hi,

The best way to reach from Thambaram to Ascendas / Tidel Park is,

Go to Thambaram East Bus terminus (Just opp. to Madras Christian College), and get T51 route. This one shortest route and straight bus to Thiruvanmiyur. You can get down at the 3 road junction near to Tidel park.

Another route is C51. This one is also starting from Thambaram East. But you need to get down at Jayanthi Signal and go to Tidel by walk or auto. The travel time is little bit long in this route, because after Solinganallur, it will go to VGP and reach Thiruvanmiyur through ECR.

If you not able to come to Thambaram east, in the GST road side you can get PP21 or 21G routes. This routes are reaching Sardar patel road thorugh Pallavaram, Airport, Guindy, Raj bhavan. If you are comming by PP21, you need to get down at CLRI bus stop and come to Tidel / Ascendas through Autos / share autoes.

If you are coming by 21G, you need to get down at Anna university and come to your destination through Auto / Share Autos.

As per my opinion, the best route is T51. The frequency of this bus route is high, you can get a for every 10 minutes. Also the travel time is less than any other routes. In T51, you can get LSS, express, Delux (all kind of buses). Also the travel time should be around 40 - 45 minutes.

  2. if u have 1:15 hr to spare.. Train journey is the best way..

Take a train to Chennai fort from tambaram(tambaram-beach route emu)..

then cross over the platform to fetch a mrts train(beach-velachery emu)..

to thiruvanmiyur.. from there walkable distance to both places.. you can get direct from tambaram to thiruvanmiyur.. it will cost some where around 10Rs.. pretty economical.. and pretty tireless one..

remember a train journey is a greener way to travel..

  3. everybody wants to score 10marks if theirs is chosen as the best. There is lot of difference between 35mins. and 1:15 hours. In the modern world, we don't get time for many things and why to waste time going by a roundroute. Bus and auto combination is the good choice. Tambaram to Guindy and then by auto or fully auto if you want your dress ironpress should not go and don't want to look ugly when you visit some offices there. Train and buses are crowded.

  4. There are direct Buses : T51

  5. Presently you have no other option than the  above...hei but this is not permanent, new local track is being laid to join Tambaram area to beach. I spotted this in google maps. At present the beach side local train reaches only upto velachery. But constructions work(tracks spotted) till Madipakkam. Question is whether they'll link it to Chromepet or Tambaram .If it is Tambaram then Stations are Chromepet then Stations from there are Madipakkam - Velachery - Perungudi - Thiruvanmyur.

  6. There are many roues like from Tambaram you can reach Guindy, Saidapet, Adyar (Madhya Kailash) and from there you can take a Auto.

But the easiest route will be this

    - take a bus from Tambaram East bus depot (if you are new to chennai Tambaram East Bus Depot is next to Madras Christain College) to Velachery.

(Tambaram to Velachery will take about 25 to 35 min depending upon the traffic)

    - from Velachery you can take a auto to both Tidel Park and Ascendas IT Park (Both these IT parks will take you about 10 min from Velachery bus stop).

  7. if u get a bus from there to THIRUVANMIYUR.. thats the easy way,, chek for it,, from thiruvanmiyur its walkable to u to both places,, good luck,,
