take a train going to guwahati and alight at new jalpaiguri station....from here u have toy trains going to darjeeling.....this toy train will be best for u as it goes slowly u can  enjoy the scenaries and nature during the travel.........happy journey

Reach Kolkata and take train to New Jalpaiguri which is the foothill of Darjeeling & Gangtok. Toy train also starts from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling

Airport is called Bagdogra, whcih is 5 km from Siliguri which is again the foothill of Darjeeling. jeeps and cars go from New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri to Darjeeling in 4 hours time
