  1. Taxi from the airport will take about an hour depending on traffic and time of day.  The Pier is over on the main island.  Airport is on Mactan Island so even if you can see the pier when you land, the taxi have to go back up to cross the bridge.  Ferry tickets are on sale at the pier. I don't think you can get them online.  Have some small money on hand 20's, 50's 100's to tip the porters.

  2. upon arrival in cebu you will probably recieve the free bigisland visitors guide. if you are not given one look around for a copy. you may find it helpful. it contains a page featuring boat schedules and other sea transport information.

the last ferry to tagbiliran on bohol departs cebu at around 6pm. you would be wise to arrive at the port at least one hour before departure. you would also be wise to allow one hour to travel from the airport to the port. the cost to travel by taxi from the airport on mactan island to the peir at cebu city is entirely dependent upon your negotiating skills. avoid the chauffered cars and get in a metered taxi and the journey should cost no more than 200 pesos

ocean jet ferries depart from peir 1 at cebu city. supercat and weesam express both depart from peir 4 at cebu city.

the ferry tickets are available from the ticket office at the peir, and also from ticket offices in the city. there don't appear to be any boat ticket offices at the airport.

economy class tickets on weesam cost around 400 pesos, a return ticket to be used within 7 days costs a little extra, plus there is a port departure tax of no more than about 200 pesos. sorry can't remember the exact prices.

the journey from cebu to tagbilaran takes about 1.5 - 2 hours. the supercat and weesam ferries take the same amount of time (on my journey the two ferries departed at the same time and arrived at the same time). the journey is over generally calm waters (weather notwithstanding) and takes you along the coast of bohol before docking at tagbilaran.

  3. Ferry tickets are bought at the pier.  There are many ferries that ply the Cebu - Tagbilaran, Bohol Route.  An example is Weesam Express.  Check its website below for the fare and the schedule:

    http://www.zimnet.com/weesam/php/booking...

Check out the website of SuperCat too.

    http://www.supercat.com.ph/

They currently have a promo of Php300 for Cebu-Tagbilaran or Tagbilaran-Cebu routes.

The airport is in Mactan Island while the pier is in Cebu City.  From the airport, it will take you 30 minutes to an hour to get to the pier, depending on the traffic.  You can take the cab.  There are many cabs in the airport.  It will cost you a maximum of Php150.  Have it metered so you will not be charged more than what should be.

    Good luck!

  4. Super Cat

Supercat has resumed its services to and from Bohol Tel: +63 (032) 232-4511 to 16. Website: www.supercat.com.ph.

    Ocean Jet

    Website: http://www.oceanjet.net.

The fare from Cebu to Tagbilaran or vice versa is Peso 575.00 (Tourist class), Peso 875.00 (Business class)

    Weesamexpress

    Website: http://www.weesamexpress.com.

The fare from Cebu to Tagbilaran or vice versa is Peso 400.00 for adult and 210.00 Children (Economy class); Peso 600.00 for Adult and 300.00 for Children (First class).

www.cebuferries.com (if ur interested in the slower moving vehicles and want to go to Ormoc)

For fast boats, e.g. SuperCat, OceanJet, and WeesamExpress, Taxi to the ferry landing in Mandaue ...I believe its the only pier from which they depart.  You can reserve seats online, unsure if I purchased online, but you may want to get a seat in aircon as not all seats are.  Last time I took the trip I believe it was on Weesam Express and no complaints.  I think was about 1.5 hr trip...hope this helps

  5. You should check out the web for Supercat ferry, (www.supercat.com.ph) which goes from Cebu downtown to Tagbilaran, 1.5 hours.  You might be able to book online as well, I think, if not, at the Pier. There's another fast ferry but I don't know the name, best to stick to Supercat. The ferry is a fast craft, very comfortable, similar to many fast ferries around the world.  (I believe it's made in Balamban, Cebu, by a Philippine-Aussie company).

The pier (I forgot which one but the Supercat website should have it) is about P200, anywhere 30 min to 1 hour depending on traffic.  It's a great way to travel to Tagbilaran or other places.  I did that when I visited in Feb 08.
