How to go to Pantheon Rome by public transport?

Question

I saw in the map, the nearest metro station would be Barberini Station (am I right?)

But it seems pretty far still to Pantheon, is it walking distance? If not what's the best way to go to Pantheon?

Also, is Pantheon and Trevi Fountain walking distance?

If not, how should I go to Trevi Fountain from Pantheon?

Any advice for other sight seeing place around that area so I can go there as well?

The distance is 550 meters ( 5 minutes walking), I have placed this link which shows you how to go BY CAR, so it seems more, but I swear that it's really close!

Hello,

there is no metro stop close to the pantheon.  If you get off at the Piazza Barberini stop it is about a 15 minute walk.  Rome is very small and all the sites are within walking distance of each other.  You can go to viamichelin.com to find out the walking distances to all the attractions.  Make sure to click on the "by foot" button to find times and distances.   From piazza barbarini to the trevi fountain is about a 7 minute walk.  From there to the pantheon is about a 10 minute walk.  From there to piazza navona is less than a 5 minute walk and then onto the vatican is another 10 minutes.  You can take the metro to the colosseum and from there the forums are about 2 minutes away.  

If you get off at the piazza barberini you will come to the trevi fountain first and then you can continue onto the pantheon.

The Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain are not all that far from each other.  You will have more fun walking through Rome than by taking the subway.

Get some comfortable shoes on and buy the compulsory tourist map of exciting locations.  You must surely go check out the ruins of the Roman Forum and next door is the Colosseum and The Palentine hill, and the Circus Maximus.  Walking around the old ancient center of Rome was one of the most enjoyable days in all my travels.

Don't pass up the Vatican area with it's Great museum whose name escapes me.  Take the subway.  Watch out for pickpockets around crowded areas.  One of their favorite tricks is to work in a team and just as you are about to step on the subway, one will distract you while the other relieves you of some valuable possession.  Little gypsy kids are taught to do this by their parents.

When I'm in Rome, I usually walk. Public transit is okay if you're in a hurry, but you miss a lot. One good option for transportation if you don't want to walk everywhere - the hop-on, hop-off tour bus. http://www.rexervation.com/romeopentour.... http://www.romeguide.it/romeopentour/rom... It will get you at or close to all the major attractions.

It's an easy walk between the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. In the other direction from the Pantheon, you can (and should) go to see Piazza Navona. If you go to the left of the Pantheon and walk along the street, you'll come to Santa Maria Sopra Minerva in a short distance. It's worth going inside. You can recognize it by the obelisk on the back of the elephant in front of the building.

just got back from rome and you can walk to any and every site its all within a mile or two if you like to walk if not the metro is good
