  2. Hello fellow Brussels Sprouts fan!!

Brussels sprouts hate the heat. Anything over about 75F and they produce loose heads that have a very strong flavour. About 65F is the right temperature, and I don't know if you ever get that cool on a regular basis. You might want to plant them in the fall instead of in the spring - they can be successfully grown along the Mediterranean coast this way.

You also have to treat them with something to prevent cabbage moth larvae from infesting them. The most popular is a powder that contains a species of bacteria that only infects cabbage moths (it's absolutely safe for people, animals, and the environment).

  3. IDK MAN i live in california and my brussel sprouts grow just fine

  4. I have grown brussel sprouts in Ohio before. I am sure you can grow them there too. They need some warmth. I don't know if you can just throw one in the ground and grow them though but I am sure it's possible. Try it. If it doesn't work then ........tell me. LOL. I bought plants. And we have a lot of snow here and I had a lot of edible sprouts!
