How to grow a palm tree?

My friend gave me a palm tree send as a soviner and i lost the instructions to it. It has what looks lik black sand accompiamed in it. Do you know a website i can use or maybe some instructions?

palm trees are easly plants or at least most of them. many are tropical, but a few are tempreate and can survive some snow.  yours is probably tropical, but you may be able to keep it outside in the cold.

How to plant or grow your palm tree depends on a lot of things.  Where do you live?  Where will you be planting it?  In a pot or in the ground?  What kind of palm tree is it?  Once you know those answers it should be pretty easy.  Take a look at this website. I hope it helps.
