I played my first varsity game as a libero and I could not even hand pass the serve to my setter. The ball would usually go up and backwards. Please help, I want to continue playing varsity my sophomore year.

  1. Keep moving your feet to position yourself.

Approach the ball instead of waiting for the ball to hit your arm... and no "back swing" of your arms.

  2. bend your legs and get low, make sure your arms are flat unuf to  be able to put a brick on it and have it not fall off, push your legs up when the ball hits your arms and stand in the direction of the setter! : )

  3. if u r messing up when passing...or bumping... just take a few steps back until its positioned in front of you. If you're messing up when you're trying to "set" a ball when its served, make sure its in front of you and when it comes on your hands, make sure that it goes at least to the middle of the court and high. to do this, you have finish with your hands high and up. hope this helped...lemme know!

  4. when you get under the ball it goes directly up so make sure you also don't swing your arms back as you probably know, just make sure you're getting low, good luck!

  5. i was an amateur player, but i can adapt quicky on this game, because every time i got the ball or want to pass the ball, i always lower my body and take want step backward, so i'm ready to get the ball and then grab both my hand palm. next, i try to absorb the ball with my hand and give a little swing. by doing this u can control the direction of the ball. the main point is don'tuse to much power. focus on ball direction just relax n don't panic

  6. that sounds like you are getting floater serves! all you have to do is gett right under the ball get low and drop your shoulder! if you mess up just shake it off you had a bad game everyone does! in volleyball you make mistakes all you have to do is not let it bother you
