  1. I have a 23-year-old who is nonverbal. Call your local autism society. Get them to hook you up with experienced parents who will show you ways to help your child.

    .

  2. From experience ..my son Thomas is nine now and has severe autism non verbal, first of all understanding is a key, talk to them is easy simple sentences, if they want to be alone let them have their own space, keep a routine in place bath bed for us are at the same time every day, we do things the same way of a school day so Thomas knows whats next, we all adapt to this ..and love them for who they are !

  3. I have a child with Autism. You need to be regular in their daily schedule everyday. You need to get them into therapy. You need to be endlessly patient.  And most of all you just power through. It's hard and don't let anyone tell you it isn't. There will be good days and bad days, but no one understands an Autistic bad day unless they've lived through one. The thing about Autism is that the bad days are so almost unbearable, but the good days are beyond any elation you'll ever know. I wish you the very best.

  4. a child with autism is a special child..then one must handle the child in a special way..with unconditional love and care and without any reservation
