  1. First off make sure the temperature is 98-100 degrees. Add luke warm warm water to the water rings. Make sure if it goes low fill it back up. Place an (X) and an (O) on each side and put the date on you put them in. Place them in carfully. Turn them 3 times a day. Should turn them every 8 hrs or so. It takes 28 days for ducks to hatch. So 3 days befor they hatch STOP turnong the eggs. You can spray the eggs with a mist every once in a while or couple days, because thats what mom does in the wid. DONT EVER help them out of the egg. Let them dry completely befor you get them and move them.

You need to make a brooder. The brooder is very simple and great for teh ducklings first couple weeks of life. It should be big enuff for as many as you have. One duckling should have 2 square feet per duckling.Inside should have feeder/wterers, bedding, and heatlamps. I prefer atomatic feeder/waterer. Start ou with small ones and get bigger ones as they age. They need NON medicated starter/grower. This is located at Tractor Supply Company. Its brand name is Dumor. The bedding can be Shavings from Tractor Supply. Depending on ho many ducklings hatch, I used a kiddy pool. But you can use a dogcage, XL one and make sure they cant get therough the bars. Or rabbit cage. The heatlamps shouldnt be too close so that the chicks wont burn themselves. SO hand if from somthing or get one that clamps to things. They need the heatlmap until the are 1 month old.

When they hit thta ae of 1 month, They need to be outside now. They can be in a fenced in yard. Put the kiddy pool that you could have used for brooder and place it outside with water in it for them to swom in it. Or you can make a coop. The coop should be big as well and not able for raccoons and cyotes and hawks to get them. So it nneeds a roof and barrier around the coop. I prefer to let them out in a fenced in area with feed, water, and kiddypool in it and befor dark bring them in garage or shed thats venilated.

  2. If the mom's been gone for 2 days the eggs are probably already dead. Sorry.

  3. If you have been watching them then the mother wouldn't come near.

She would of been to afraid.

You need to go put them back where you found them NOW!

If you try to incubate them then You can be charged $500 and/or 6 months in prison.

If you are too stubborn to put them back then Call a Licensed Wildlife Rehabalitator and take the eggs to them.

    They won't ask any questions.

If the mother truely hasn't been there for two days then the eggs are 100% dead.

After the mother starts to incubate them they needs heat 24/7 and need to be turned every 5 hours.

If you really want ducks of your own, get them LEGALLY from a Hatchery ( i.e. Mcmurray Hatchery.com, etc.... )
