  1. HI Delaney,

Well, you know, careers are important to be thinking about at a young age.... as people should be planning on their future and livelihood.    When you talk about career... that is very serious and not really something you should be deciding without your parent's (mom's) encouragement or support.

You sound young - and it is true that models should get an early start, but the younger you are,  the more you need adult guidance and involvement to keep other "People" in the business from taking advantage of you.   Many young people with stars in their eyes are approached by the wrong types of characters and wind up as drug users, p**n stars and prostitutes and it does not take long.  That is why it is not practical for you to even consider it without your parent's protection.

If you don't have the $$$$ to begin the process, it is a mute point.... you are not getting into modeling anyway.   So many things you can't do without someone assisting you like paying for the agency,  paying for portfolio photos every six months as well as ordering headshots; getting yourself to interviews, go sees, call backs and modeling jobs....paying for high priced hair and beauty salons.   The expense can be overwhelming.  AND perhaps that is why your mom thinks it is stupid.  Her position is that you could and should do something more productive with your life.   It might be a good idea to respect her decision until you get old enough to be 100% responsible for yourself.

    Thanks for reading.

  2. She will find out when you have the drug overdose after the show in New York.

  3. run away from home and break all contact with her

  4. You can't.  Head shots alone can cost over $200 and you will have to have them.  Most people, even very pretty ones do not make it in the modeling industry.

Are you ready to sleep with someone just to get a shoot?  That is the sad truth honey.

Also, many shoots are out of state and to get there you pay for it.  You also have to pay for your hotel and anything you may need while you are there.

All in all, it's pretty stupid and you are far better off to get a job, work part-time and start saving money so you can go to college.

  5. u cant sry :(

  6. You cant sign a modeling contract of any form (well for that matter ANY contract) without your parents signature, until you are 18.  Sorry.

  7. Perhaps first, before you are concerned how you present yourself in PERSON to people, you should be more concerned with how you present yourself in WRITING.  Not only are you written skills HORRID, it is clear that you are willful, sneaky, disobedient, self-centered ("of course, she doesn't get it") and altogether a person that no AGENCY is going to want, anyway.  What are you - about 13?  Read all the other GOOD advice - you need a serious reality check.

  8. Can she afford it

Have you ever stuck to anything so she can perceive a comitment to anything

Maybe you can find a charity that has modeling and uses volunteers or something and ask again.....it would be free and you could strut you stuff,

    That'd show her
