My friend keeps telling me that she's getting night terrors and really bad nightmares ever since her mom died. Almost everyday she calls me to tell me how her night went. All she would ever talk about is how afraid she is. I just don't understand. Is there a way I can have a night terror? Just to experience it. I would really like to know how she feels. Tell me please & thank you in advance.

  1. uh...

    wtf??

lack of sleep can cause night terrors but it has to be awhile before they come on, get like 3-4 hours of sleep for 2 weeks, u may have one...

  2. Really theres no way to get it. You need to be feeling so bad, alone and affraid it makes you feel terrified. You dont want that i am sure.

  3. You can't force yourself to have a night terror. It is just something that happens to some people. Your friend experienced a traumatic event when her mom died. That is what probably is causing hers. You could suggest calmly that maybe she needs to talk to a professional to deal with her feelings about her mom passing. That might help her get rid of them. As for what they feel like, Think of the worst nightmare you have ever had and imagine it 100 times worse. Imagine waking up screaming and sweating and being afraid to go back to sleep. It really is a horrible thing to go thru.
