  1. In your sophmore year take alg. II and Geometry.

    then Jr. year take pre-calc.

then senior year take AP clacl..it sjust that you have to doulbe up on your maths next year.

  2. Here is what I would do

    9th~~Algebra 1 H

    Summer~~Geometry

    10th~~Algebra 2H

    11th~~Precalculus or Trigonometry

    12th~~Calculus

Good luck. Do summer school at a community college. If it is too late then take Geometry 10th grade and Algebra 2during summer.

  3. I don't know if your high school has a different system but, at my school  I took algebra 1 in middle school, geometry freshman year, algebra 2 sophomore year, precalc junior year, and calc senior year.  I don't know what the pre-requisites are for ap calc at your school but, you will definitely want to take algebra 2, and some sort of precalc/trig course.  You also would want to maintain at the least, a B+ in math if you expect to do decently in an ap math course.  Talk to your counselor about what the requirements are at your school.

  4. k, this will take work but you need to take math at EVERY SINGLE chance that you can!  if you have block scheduling, then take math every semester and you'll catch up.  if you can double up, take algebra 2 and geometry at the same time since they aren't really connected.  then take precal/trig.  after that you'll get to calc.  but you need to do well in these classes.

    9th- algebra 1

    10th- geometry/algebra 2

11th-precal/trig/integrated (if on block take calc 2nd semester)

    12th- calc

  5. I'm not sure what's the sequence of math classes at your school but at mine it goes, algebra I, Geometry, algebra II, precalculus then calculus so I would suggest taking Geometry over the summer this year or next year you can take algebra II over the summer. You'll have to find some place that offers a full summer course in the subject though because your school probably won't give you credit for taking a regular summer school class there. Talk to your guidance counselor and/or whoever is in charge of the mathematics department at your and hear their opinion. I suggest that you take a summer course in Geometry this year if you can instead of in algebra II next year because algebra  is something you'll need to have a good understanding of to take AP Calculus but Geometry is not really as important. If you can't take a summer course in Geometry this year then get an algebra II textbook from your school or buy one next year and start studying algebra II before you take a summer course in it. Just learn the basics, don't stress yourself trying to learn the harder things on your own. It'll make it easier to learn algebra II over the summer next year if you start studying during the year. Remember to talk to your guidance counselor to get his/her opinion.
