  1. not sure if you have these stores in arizona but deb shops is pretty cheap. or any other type store that sells prom dresses.. marriage license prices are different everywhere, here in RI they are only 15 bucks. pretty cheap.. i also want a cheap wedding and am planning on having a backyard bbq wedding.

  2. I've seen bunches of wedding dresses at Good Will and thrift stores.

  3. You know, you can have an inexve wedding that beautiful too!

Well we really need a maximum amount of money you'd want to pay for a wedding.

Why not get married on your backyard? My parents had an inexpensive wedding in the backyard and my mums dress was only a few hundred. They had just as much fun as they would if they got married in a church with a $2,000 dress. Things can be as fun as you want, but you have to want to have fun, to actually have fun =]

Regardless of your weight, theres ALWAYS nice dresses avaliable. Always.

You can hire a wedding dress, just google 'wedding dress hire' or check in the yellow pages.

You dont even need a dress. Just go to a plus-size shop and look for a white blouse and a nice skirt. It shouldnt cost much, and if you want to be really sneaky, just buy it, wear it, and return it, saying that the material is making you itch or something. Make sure they allow returns though!

As for food, dont go to a grocery store. Go to a Party Food Shop. They sell fingerfood in bulk, and they sell the good brands, like McCain's.

Google 'Party food shop' and your city in google, or 'Bulk fingerfood' and your area.

I really hope this helps, and i hope you have a beautiful wedding.

    God bless xx

  4. I kept my wedding inexpensive by prioritizing. For instance, I wanted to have a really nice dinner, so I spent less on the flowers. As far as a nice plus sized dress, I wouldn't know. A family friend sewed my plus sized wedding gown, and the only other places I could think of only have more casual dresses. David's Bridal has a nice selection, but those are definitely wedding gowns.

  5. A license is about $50.  If you don't want expense, go get married at the court house.

  6. Just pick out a nice dress and get married at home.

  7. I found mine at Macy's. It's a dressy tea-length in pale blue. Very pretty in a plus size. The salesclerk was very helpful.  Our license for the state of Missouri will cost $51.

  8. You could always buy a deb dress instead! No one will know the difference and it won't have the huge price tag!  Also try ebay.com or else you could by a pattern and make it yourself!

Other ways of cutting costs without sacrificing too much is to shop around. Shop, shop shop. Its worth the saving. Make your own invitations, get a friend or family member to make your cake, ask one of your bridesmaids to do your hair and make up. Photographers can be expensive so why not buy a few disposible cameras and ask your guests to take your happy snaps?  Have a cocktail party (fingerfood) reception or do a buffet. Your family can all pitch in and make a tray or 2 each and it will be lovely. You won't even need a caterer. get married outdoors in a nice park or at the beach. Its free and the atmosphere is beautiful. You will also save money on things like flowers and other decorative pieces because if your out in a garden or something, you won't need them. Seriously you can have a wonderful wedding on a tight budget. The planning will be a little more time consuming but it is so worth it! You just have to be a little bit creative! Best of luck. Hope this helps.

  9. You can find inexpensive ($100 - $500) plus size wedding dresses on these sites:

    http://www.igigi.com/plus-size-clothing/...

    http://www.torrid.com/torrid/store/nodeP...

    http://www.kiyonna.com/plus-size-clothin...

    Good Luck :D

  10. I don't know where you can get your license but it's so funny. I have a never worn wedding dress [plus size] that I'm trying to sell. I will let you pick the price you pay as long as it's reasonable. Email me for more information and pictures. Jesus_has_my_heart@yahoo.com

  11. marry me

  12. You plan it yourself!

You should see flower shops and see what you like and let them know what you want.  Than go with the cheaper flower shop.  Buy your gown on sale or e-bay.  Also the news paper will have them.  Use your mother old gown or grandmother's.  I hope that this will help you.  About your cake see if you have a friend who does that or a family member and ask if that can be your gift from them!

~I hope you can do it!

  13. i spent around $100  maybe for my 1st wedding dress, 25 yrs ago, it wasn't an actual wedding dress but it was white.  i got from a sak's outlet, i think.  my 2nd dress was $12, about sz 14 or 16 so on the plus-size...clearance rack at mervyn's (which no longer exists, but other stores do!)...i think it was originally a christmas dress cuz it was green lace overlaid on a black underslip.  and i bought it late jan-early feb (we were married feb 14)

so if you're not picky about it being a 'wedding' dress, shop the outlets, clearance racks, consignment shops, even thrift stores have a great selection of wedding and special occasion dresses.

congrats!!  best wishes!! and best of luck!!!  be happy!!
