How to have more lucid dreams?

does anyone have any tips for dreaming more or having lucid dreams....like herbs or things to eat befor bed time to gave me clearer, deeper dreams? and i heard of this like eye mask thing that shoots a small beam of light (not enough to wake you up but just enough to tell you your dreaming) and it know when your sleeping by the way your eye moves... and i would like to know the name of it. thanks alots.

    Use an eyepatch to have deeper dreams.

  3. keep a pen and paper by your bed and when you wake up right down immediately anything you can remember this will trigger your brain to begin remembering your dreams...as you do this continually...

    and pray and ask God to give you dreams that will help you...but be prepared...

  4. i say just relax and think about somehting or someone u really love before going to sleep. it could take 30 min to an hour, but it works for me.

  5. I have been having many lucid dreams for about a month now. Follow this method and you should have the same results after a long time! Now, it did take me about half a year to truly get lucid dreams often and remember them. Lucid dreaming is not something that any mask or herb can just produce with no practice! Those are all urban legends and/or products attempting to be sold for profit but they almost never work. Here's what you need to do:

    First of all, you need to get in the habit of remembering your dreams. If you don't, lucid dreaming is nearly impossible and even if you achieve it, you may not remember the experience. Keep a dream journal by the side of your bed. I've had one for the past year and it's a wonderful tool. Make sure you have a working pen next to it at all times. When you wake up, immediately write any dreams you remember in that book! If you're running late, at least write a few bulletpoints about what you remember or something! I don't care if it's 3 AM and you can't really see. Before turning the light on, at least scribble something down in what you think is your best handwriting. The weird thing about dreams is you're most apt at remembering them when you immediately wake up. Keep this journal! Every day, read a little bit of it. If another piece of the dream pops up, write it down! This will keep your brain prepared to remember dreams. When you're quite good at dream recall (this might take a month or two!), you are ready to become an experienced lucid dreamer. And by good at dream recall, I mean able to remember at least one dream a night! This next step might seem a little weird because it involves proving to yourself that you're not dreaming. First of all, you need to find things in your dream journal that, if happening in real life, would prove to you something weird was going on. For example, let's say you had a dream where you met Queen Latifah at the top of the Eiffel Tower (a dream I had last night!). In real life, this situation would never happen. When you're ready, you'll get this realization in your dream. When you're awake, every hour or so, you need to prove to yourself that you are in the real world. For example, look at a clock. Then look back. If the time remains the same, you're most likely awake. In dreams, looking away and then looking back at something often changes its appearance. You could also ask a question to someone like, "What time is it?" and see if you get a logical response. In a dream I recently had, I asked that question and the answer I got was "Midnight," even though the sun was high in the sky. This proved to me I was dreaming and I was able to start controlling my dream. Contrary to popular belief, pinching yourself in a dream is not effective. You might actually feel pain sue to something in the real world such as you accidentally hitting your hand on the bedpost. This would make you think you were awake! Keep to simpler things like asking logical questions and looking for logical patterns. The reason you do this in the real world as well is so that your brain makes it a routine. If you do it periodically, such as every hour, for a long enough time, your brain gets used to it. In your dreams, you will eventually see yourself going through this routine. The difference is, you'll prove that you are in a dream. Once you're aware, lucid dreaming is just a step away! Now, getting this routine into your head will take a long time so be prepared! During all this, you should continue to keep your dream journal. Anyway, let's say you find yourself in a dream after just realizing you're dreaming. How, you might ask, can you actually start controlling your dream? It's a method called dream spinning. It sounds weird but it works! In your dream, now that you're self-aware, start spinning with your eyes closed and think of the place you want to end up. When your eyes open, you'll find yourself there. This same technique works if you feel the lucid dream slipping away. Dream spin to keep yourself in the dream rather than going to a different one where getting back might be difficult. This is why lucid dreams are so great! You could be having a nightmare where you're getting chased by Jason Vorhees through the Patriots football camp (another dream I had recently). But after realization, you can simply spin and open your eyes to find yourself in Rio! Doing impossible things in lucid dreams is a little bit harder. There's no real technique to say, start flying in a dream. All's I can say is start small. Before you can start flying in every lucid dream, you need to practice in those dreams. Start by simpler things like hovering. Eventually, you may be able to fly at will in every lucid dream you have!

    In a few months, you could be an expert just like me! From personal experience, it's a truly thrilling feeling! Anything is possible. If you play sports and would like to practice them, you could it in your dream. You could eat something wonderful; you could travel somewhere exotic; you could simply relax your mind and feel at peace! Here's a couple final notes for you. To experience dreams at all, you generally need to sleep at least 5 hours so catnap lucid dreams won't work. Also, if you don't believe you can have lucid dreams, you won't. Every night before you go to bed, you need to think, "Tonight, I'm going to have a dream about so-and-so!" In the early stages of your training, you won't have that dream.
