My fiance and I both have cats. I have 3 and he has one. His is mean at times and has claws.. Mine are all lap cats and declawed.

( except my outside one who has claws).

We are all moving in together soon. How can we help these guys all get along. Mine are use to other animals, his cat hates other animals.

  1. You could try to introduce each others smells before the first actual meeting.  Try wiping your cats with a towel, or take some of your cats bedding over to your fiances cat and let him get to know the smell first.  It might help him get used to your cats when they come over.

There will undoubtedly be some hissing, and possibly fighting when they meet, but they will have to go through this to work out their own pecking order.  Pecking order needs to be sorted for there to be some sort of harmony in the house.  Make sure you introduce them slowly, and that each cat gets as much reassurance from you as possible.  They all need to know that although things have changed, they're all still loved!

    Best of luck!

  2. It's just because he's used to being by himself. He's not used to other cats being around. It's sounds like he's territorial. Just give him some time. If he gets mean to you're cats lock him in a room for a while (kinda like a 'time out'). He'll get used to it.
