How to heal a swollen foot FAST!??!?!?

okay, so my dad fell =[ and he has a swollen foot now.. anyway this can heal fast? i felt really bad for him when he fell.. i almost cried cuz i never saw him fall like this before, so please help me to get his swollen foot better... FAST!! i already gave him ice and stuff!!! any ideas??

You cannot speed the healing process.  It takes time and, so far, no one has found a way to speed time.  Assuming there are no broken bones (a doctor did X-ray it, right?), ice and elevation are the best ways to reduce swelling.

Did he get it x-rayed?   That might be a good thing, especially if his foot is really that swollen.
