The paint, and transfer book just says the heat set fabric before washing. How long using wax paper does it take to set the paint?

  1. The best way I have found is to place a piece of wax paper over the paint and then using a hot iron heat the design.  Watch the setting for the type of fabric.  Do not move the iron like you are ironing, lift the iron when you need to move on the design.  With some paint & some fabric you can just put it in the dryer 24 hours after the item was painted

  2. As well as Loriann's suggestion - it should actually say on the bottle or jar what the preferred method is.  I have paints that need to be ironed in the way that she suggests, but I also have a range that needs to be heated in the oven for 10 minutes at 130 degrees, so please check.
