Question:

How to help my lower back pain?

I pulled my back out yesterday (lifted a 150lbs bucket and heard a pop) couldn't move for a while, now can move painfully. I took the day off today, but as I am self employed, I need to return to work tomorrow. I am currently taking 800mg of motrin three times a day and wearing Icy Hot back patches. What can I do today to make it feel better tomorrow? Should I lay down, should I walk around? Should I stretch?

  1. Go to your family physician first and strongly request an x-ray and maybe an MRI. FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG FIRST BEFORE GOING TO A CHIROPRACTOR!!!! Being manipulated without knowing what is going on can lead to more of an injury. Chiros can be good, but always, always know..what is going on with your back FIRST.

I had to be manipulated for a misaligned hip by a chiro. Because of the position and manipulation pressure, one of my disc herniated in my lower back..and he knew I had degenerative disc disease. He did fix my hip pain, but now I have OTHER pain.

  2. If you heard it POP...you pulled out a vertabre out of your back. STOP EVERYTHING, go right to a chairopracter, and he will pop the misaligned vertabre back in position, and your as good as new. All those will pills, are just a bandaide. Go to the BONE man, and get over with.

  3. I have lived this ........

ICE    ICE   ICE     You need to see a doctor...... your back is in spasm... you might need a relaxer  to help the spasm stop and the the healing can start.  You may have ruptured a disk...

You might need a chiropractor. but go to the regular doctor first.. I went the the chiropractor first and then the insurance would not pay when I went to the other doctor... I had nerve damage and had to have surgery... You may have only caused the muscles to spas...

  4. Ouch it hurts.

Have you thought about wearing a SACROILIAC BELT  (aka SI Belt) around your pelvis? What it does is that by providing the correct balance of resistance and resilience, the SI belt re-establishes the joint’s normal motion,  thus relieves stress and instability at these weight bearing structures. The price of SI belts are in reasonable range these days, average cost is about $40 USD. I know a lot of people who wear SI belts, and I've read some astonishing testimonials about it. There are many  si belts out there, but Serola SI Belt seems to be the best one as far as quality, comfort, and price are considered. Check out their website for more: http://www.serola.net/product_new_sac_be...

I think you buy directly from their website at: http://serolabelt.com/new-serola-sacroil...

Hope it helps, good luck to you!
