  1. If you are at all nervous about a fight you should not be an enforcer.

  2. Scared, well that could be a bit of an issue eh?

Honestly I think that if you just do it once and get into it, the next time you wont really worry about it. Even if you lose the fight I think that next time you will be more relaxed, thinking clearer, and possibly more into it. For your first fight, make sure that your shoulder is the one you are punching with even if it is our weak side because then you wont have to worry about it getting injured by the other player. So when you get into the fight just know that it is something you need to do and kick some @ss!!

  3. Just play the game and have fun, not all big strong tough guys become enforcers, if the fighting isn't for you concentrate on your skating and passing, then you can not worry about the fighting since you'll be a skill player.

  4. Don't "just do it" if someone pisses you off enough, you'll do it. If you want to be an enforcer you should go after the nastiest guy on the other team, not pull an Avery and go after the "Crosby" of the other team like a coward.

But of course, do what you will. =)

  5. Just try to get under another players skin. Not anything severly dirty, but something to make them retaliate.

    or..

    Watch Slapshot

  6. do like the mighty ducks

    - drop the gloves

    - pull the jersey over the head

    - and start swingin

  8. Ok... when I'm playing hockey I focus on the game to have fun but when someone challenges me I go for it. I don't think about anything else but whats going on in the game, so here's some tips:

-When you go to hit some one hit low!(You dodge the other person's hit and this move can knock them down easy)

-When getting hit on the boards get close to the boards as close as you can.(This will make the force of the hit less hurtful to you and the other person gets most of the force.)

-When the whistle gets blown and people from the oppisite team are still going for the puck under the goalie's glove hit any way possible. (Careful though! If you hit them too hard this can start fights and penalty's)

-Lastly, to avoid getting hit the most, move your feet; never stop moving! (If your fast enough skate around the defencemen. It makes them mad and you have a better chance of scoring!)

Use these tips continously you won't be as scared as you started. Good Luck! Keep Playing, don't quit yet! Make the game fun. You don't need to be an enforcer to have fun.

(One thing I forgot to add was when your fighting pull their jersey over their heads and then punch where there isn't padding. You really shouldn't fight though you could get kicked out of leages.)

  9. It's not something you can teach, really.... you have to be really good on your skates for one...

and trust me... once you get hit that first time... you won't think anymore. Adrenaline will kick in and you'll be throwing haymakers like crazy.
