  1. Hold firm, but gentle. make shure all doors and registers are closed just to make shure he cannot escape. also you might want to hold close to the cage, so if it trys to escape you can get him and put him back. Wait a few minutes and hold him again, also dont hold him to much, play with him for like 10- 15 minutes at a time. then the next day play with him for more time untill he gits to know your his friend. then it will be like you two are BFF's :D

  2. Best way to hold hamsters is to make them climb into one hand and cupping the other hand softly over the body so that her head pokes out from the gap between your two hands. Remember, do not apply any pressure on her body, he will get scared and snap at you.

But do not try to hold her until your hamster is used to you and tame enough to get into your hand, otherwise she might end up biting your fingers.

Also, when holding her for the first time, be seated near the floor or a tray, so that if your hamster decided to jump out of your hand, she would not hurt herself.

  3. hold her firm but do not crush it,, they are stronger than you think.. but.. you could always slide it onto a skewer then it definatly won't get away

  4. When i first got my two female roborovski dwarf hamsters they werent used to getting held. Now they are and this is how i done it.

For the first week i put my and in the cage with food on it they eventualy came.

The second week i started to pick them up a little of the ground of their cage.

A few days later i took them straight out the cage and had a box under my hand with a soft substance and the bottem.

The box stopped them from running away because if they jumpped of my hand they would of jamp straight into the box.

Keep the box under your hand ontill you feel safe and confident about holding them.

Go through this guide gradually and confidently your hamsters may take a while to learn but they will learn eventualy.

    Good luck
