How to hook speakers to an amp? i know everythi9ng but where to put the speaker wires?

so i know how to set up an amp 2 a sub, im just wondering when im doing speakers to i take a strand of speaker wire from the speakers to the amp and leave the stock headunit wires hanging or do i leave the speakers attached to the stock head unit wires and the attach more speaker wire from there to the amP??? helllllllpp

leave the headunit wires alone. cap or tape them off. and bring the wires from your amp behind your headunit and connect them there.

or you can run new wire stright from your amp to your speakers... whichever is easiest.

just make sure you tape off any wire not being used.
