Question:

How to hook up amp to car stereo without RCA output?

I have an existing system with a Sony stereo that has an RCA out for the amp so that I can hook up a sub. I got a new stereo that is exactly the same, except it has bluetooth and no RCA output for some strange reason.

I want to be able to hook that up to the amp, but it doesn't have any outputs for amp, just the regular dual 8 prong cable for power/speakers. Is it possible to still hook that up to the amp?

The new stereo is MEX-BT2500, the old one is CDXGT220. The amp is Infiniti 311A.

Much appreciated

  1. Some amps have high voltage inputs allowing you to wire the speaker wires from the deck directly into the amp!

Check your amp to see if it has any high voltage inputs if not you will need a convertor like the other guy said or get a better deck!

  2. you can get a line output converter and tap into your harness but i would just return it and go with a pioneer much better sound controll and i know you probably want to bluetooth but i have seen those in several cars and they are staticy when your talking to someone
