The 6200 comes in two flavors ... if you look at the back of the box, how many s***w on coax connectors do you have? If the answer is two, it can't be done. If the answer is four, you can use the RF bypass to make it work. But this raises the question: why bother?

If you don't have cable, then using a cable box in this fashion is the same as barrel connecting two coax cables together. The cable box is not adding any functionality, it is simply acting as an electronic pass-through. You can't even have the cable box turned on for this method to work.

I would advise simply attaching the antenna straight to the back of your television. The less stuff between you and your signal source, the better the quality typically is.
