  1. You don't. It's against City Code. If you got a gas leak,

    your house could explode. <}:-})

  2. Any plumber can do it, but he made need some excavating done, for the gas line,  Just get some estimates.

You can buy any grill you like and change the o*****e.  He will do that when he installs line.

  3. Well Number one do not pay any attention to the spam answers.

Some just put bull in here to get the points and that is all they want.

    Now for you question.

Natural gas will not work with a grill. A grill works off propane gas it is different from natural gas.

You can adjust your stoves and such in house to either propane or natural gas. They are made to do that.

    A grill is not!

You can only use propane gas with a grill, Let me say this you can also us butane gas almost propane but not really just close enough to do the job.

  4. It depends where you are as to whether you need a licensed contractor to do it. But for most people in most places you do.

If you don't know the details, I don't recommend trying to DIY it. Just hire a contractor licensed to install natural gas stuff.

Why the guy below is saying you can't have a natural gas grill is beyond me. I was looking at one today in Home Depot.

  5. OF COURSE you can use natural gas with a grill; you just have to have a licensed gasfitter replace a few parts. Some grills ship with a conversion kit that contains the parts you'll need; with others, you have to order the parts from the manufacturer.

I say "licensed gasfitter" because it may very well be illegal in your part of the world to do any of this yourself, and by illegal I mean criminal-charges illegal. Where I live only licensed gasfitters are permitted to run gas lines, connect appliances, or modify them: if you do it yourself, you can end up in provincial jail for six months. (That's if your amateur gasfitting doesn't result in someone being killed; if that happens, you could end up with a manslaughter conviction and 15 years in federal prison.)
