what is a reception in american football.

and/or how do i do one in madden NFL 07 for the xbox 360

A reception is when the ball travels in a forward direction from behind the line of scrimmage and is caught. In Madden NFL '07, if the ball is heading towards your receiver you can press Y to catch it.

A reception is when the receiver catches the ball. So basically, just get your QB to throw the ball to your receiver.
