How to i get from the union station to N ave beach in chicago?

What do I take to get to N. ave beach? or is it walking distance....?

Is there an entrance fee to get into the beach...I have never been there.

  1. You could walk there, your probably better off taking  a cab


  2. Catch the No. 151 bus right in front of Union Station. It goes almost right to North Ave. Beach, closer than any other bus. It stops near North Ave. (actually on Stockton Drive) but you will have to walk a bit east to get to the beach. If you're not sure if you're at North Ave., ask the bus driver. Because you only have to take one bus, it will only cost $2, or $1.75 if you use a transit pass. They have CTA transit pass vending machines in Union Station. Find one and get a pass there.

    BTW, you really can't walk from Union Station to North Ave. beach. Well, I mean you COULD, but it's a long freaking walk.
