How to i get iPhone aspp VNC Mocha Lite to work wiv my iMac?

I have VNC Lite for my iPhone, how do i get it to work with my mac, i am up to the stage where i have put in my ip address on the app and password which i set through my mac, but now when i press connect it just keeps saying VNC negotiating and nevver works, my home network is wireless if that makes any differences??

Do you have a firewall on the Mac?  Maybe it's blocking connection to the VNC server you installed?
